Youth Mentoring Network
(Program formerly known as Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Upper Ohio Valley)

The Youth Mentoring Network provides children facing adversity, a strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationship that enhances their lives.

Program is designed for youth experiencing one or more risk factors: parent or caregiver that is/has been incarcerated, experiencing homelessness and/or trafficking, identify as LGBTQ, placed in fostercare, difficulty with peers, academic challenges, family risk/stress, and/or low self-esteem.

About YSS
The mission of Youth Services System, Inc. is To create better futures for children, families, and our community. Together with youth and their families, we work to improve their physical and emotional well-being, to address trauma, and to build the skills and connections they need to be successful.
Eligibility
Children between the ages of six and seventeen (6-17) are eligible for the program. Must reside in Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler counties of West Virginia and Belmont county of Ohio.
Involvement
Children who are matched can share everyday activities with their mentor: eating out, playing sports or attending sporting events, going to movies, sight seeing, or just hanging out.
